The new album by Mintzkov (formerly known as Mintzkov Luna) is entitled 360°, but the band does anything but go around in circles. This time round they’ve opted for a punk sound and songs with razor-sharp edges. The album features influences of Girls against Boys and the Pixies, which is no doubt producer Mark Freegard’s doing. The Scotsman previously produced albums by The Breeders and Manic Street Preachers.
The winners of the 2000 Humo Rock Rally (an important Flemish music competition) already had a string of hits to their name, and this album is guaranteed to add to that success. The first single, the super catchy One Equals a Lot, is everything the new Mintzkov aspires to be: straightforward, powerful and adventurous. Great Belgian Indie rock: we like!
This performance is in the 5 For Students top 5!
