The concept of Le Placard headphonefestival is as simple as it fresh. Musicians from all over the world are connected to one another with their laptops and headphones. They take turns in making music, so musicians from, say, Tokyo pass the mic to likeminded artists in Paris and, during Etoiles Polaires 07, to Ghent talent. The result is a non-stop concert which takes you to all the corners of the world.
When visiting the Vooruit Café you’ve got the choice: you can either listen to the artists in Vooruit, or – when they are taking a break – you can put on a headphone to discover what sounds musicians across the globe are producing.

Etoiles Polaires 07 is a co-production of Etoiles Polaires vzw and Vooruit, with the support of the Flemish government, LUSES, ESEK, and was made possible with the help of the FIMIC, The Finnish Cultural Institute, the Finnish Ministry for Foreign Affairs, Department for Communication and Culture and the Embassy of Finland in Brussels.
Le Placard headphonefestival was incorrectly described in our monthly and in the Etoiles Polaires 07 brochure. The information above is the correct description.
