People who have difficulty finding Vooruit can just follow the wailing noises on the 4th of November. The sound will be produced by Hans Van Koolwijk’s sound installation. The Amsterdam-based sound artist built six giant trunks especially for OORSMEER. Small reeds in the trunks cause a siren-like smooth harmony. Every half hour, they will appear on the Vooruit façade where they will push a 3 to 5 minute cry, making sure everyone in the area hears them. One thing is for sure: OORSMEER will clean out the ears of the entire neighbourhood!
