Art and science: a seemingly impossible combination, but British Semiconductor doesn’t agree. For Brilliant Noise, the performers consulted NASA. They got their teeth into a rare series of images of the sun and made a collage of them. Snapshots in their most unpolished form!

Unpredictability and improvisation are usually not things you associate with computers. However, Semiconductor does manage to put together a complete animated movie. Sonic Inc offers you a live performance in its purest form.

For the German collective Transforma, it was only a small step from a music video to a real visual music film. The VJ’s came up with the plot and also provided the images. Fragmented landscapes and mysterious creatures play an important role in this dark, romantic film. This atmosphere is emphasized by the American electronic music gem O.S.T. Scratching with sound and images, Transforma and O.S.T. conjure up an audiovisual Valhalla, based on Synken.
