FrictiesSalon will be welcoming Nina Folkersma.
She’s currently the guest director of the SMAK (the Ghent museum for Contemporary Art), where she programmed three film exhibitions. The third one premières the 18th of October and focuses on American-born film artist Daria Martin. Her films are “shows that unveil which tricks are used in the film world”. They are an ode to avant-garde performance art in general and to Oskar Schlemmer in particular. We are proud to invite both ladies for a talk about this project.
