Central to the installation 5 screens are five large projection screens illuminated by several 16mm projectors. This gives way to a subtle and fragile game of moving shapes. The projectors that the Brussels-based Els Van Riel will be bringing along are not merely passive objects, but they are actively present in the space, almost like living beings. For this project, Van Riel works with the purity of film and brings a continuous game of light, movement and shadow to life.
