What’s unique about Passageway is that it was custom-made for the Vooruit passageways. Armed with no more than a projection screen, German-born Julia Willms successfully creates a trompe l’oeuil. The installation effortlessly suspends the viewer between reality and the imaginary and makes sure the space is constantly changing. Passageway is surprising and absurd, as if Magritte himself meddled with it.
