The main ingredients for Slide Movie are: 24 projectors, one screen, a B-gangster movie and Gebhard Sengmüller’s ‘destructive’ character. The Austrian artist cuts up the film and lets all the projectors roll at the same time – until a primitive film comes to life through Sengmüller’s words. Don’t expect to see a finished product, but let yourself be overwhelmed by the strange visual and auditive effect. An impressive sample of cut and paste cinema.
