Brothers André and David-Ivar Herman Düne didn’t have to think long about a suitable band name. Their own name sounded catchy enough, so that was that. The late John Peel gave the weird anti folk band the push they needed, giving Herman Düne international cult status.
Last year, the French-Swedish band released the phenomenal Giant. Catchy opener I wish that I could see you soon set the tone for a charming and crazy ride. Fiery Mexican trumpets, an amusing girls’ choir and André Düne’s close resemblance to Frank Zappa do the rest.
After their great concert at Boomtown last summer, Herman Düne plays Vooruit. The Dünes hit the road again!
