Uitgelezen is our live book programme by and for readers. Your host Fien Sabbe will welcome our regular panel members Anna Luyten and Jos Geysels, who will review three books together with two guest panel members. The guests this edition will be Luc Van den Bossche and Christophe Vekeman.
Apart from a book tombola, pictures from the De Morgen archive and cartoons by ZAK, you’ll also be able to enjoy a musical interlude by Maskesmachine

On Tuesday the 27th of November, we’ll be focusing on three Scandinavian books in order to be well-prepared for the Etoiles Polaires festival . The first two novels we will be discussing are both by Swedish author Klas Östergren: Gentlemen and Gangsters. Gentlemen was first published 27 years ago, and is now regarded as a true classic. In the book, Östergren sketches a funny and socially aware view of Stockholm in the late seventies. A couple of years ago, Östergren decided to write a sequel. Gangsters continues the story where Gentlemen left off and is a fascinating variation on the theme of good and evil. The last book of the evening is an ode to one of the greatest authors of children’s literature; Astrids Bilder, the story of Astrid Lindgren’s life in pictures.
