In ‘Altijd prijs’, Arne Sierens and Compagnie Cecilia tell the story of a friendship that emerges in a bizarre situation and vacillates between tenderness and aggression. The play is drenched in the spirit of rude boys and mods. Though this play is darker and harder than anything Arne Sierens has ever made, yet it is stirring as ever.
A man meets a delirious boy covered in nothing but a blanket. He takes him home and three months later, the boy returns to thank him. Despite their completely different backgrounds, the two discover that they share a bond. They look to each other for answers, and both of them are looking for answers in a world full of moonlighters, human traffickers and introverted teens. The two attract and provoke each other—almost like in a duet.
