LIGA starts with the end: video fragments show the young actors discussing the show they have just performed. Mistakes are professionally ignored while compliments are generously handed out. But as soon as they are picked up by their parents, they become the shy children they are in real world again.
This is when the actual show starts, with five very young and easily influenced actors that need attention and encouragement. In a collective learning process, they lose their imagination and take on a role that they are forced to play.
Kassys (NL) observes the mechanisms of human behaviour and brings them to the stage with iincredible energy and subtle self-mockery. The company uses a fresh image language based on video and mime. Some spectators may remember their productions ‘POOS’, ‘MOUSSE’, ‘Kommer’ and ‘Actor’s Cut’ at Vooruit.
In May 2007, it was announced that Liga had been selected for the 2007 edition of the Flemish theatre festival!
There will be a discovery day for this performance on Wednesday the 19th of December.
